Tim Cook returns to COBWFA Dec. 15

Canada’s award-winning war historian Tim Cook makes a return to the Central Ontario Branch, WFA, to talk about his latest book, The Secret History of Soldiers: How Canadians Survived the Great War.

Cook is a historian at the Canadian War Museum and adjunct research professor at Carleton University. He was the curator for the First World War permanent gallery at the museum and has curated additional temporary, travelling and digital exhibitions. He is the author of 10 books and more than 40 refereed articles.

For this event, we will be meeting at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 43, 471 Simcoe Street South, Oshawa. Meet and greet as usual at 9:30 a.m. Speaker at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch ($6) and more good talk about The Great War in the afternoon.

There is no meeting in November.
