When you were younger  you may have heard a story of what your WW1 relative may have seen or experienced. Why not share it here? Leave a note saying what you remember, where your relative may have served or what he/she was like when you knew them.

    My grandfather served in the US Army 20th Engineers in Dijon France from the summer of 1918 to the summer of 1919. He was a mechanic in a US Forestry Engineer Regiment comprising 20,000 woodsmen producing lumber for temporary accommodation. They cut enough wood to house the population of Ottawa. Today the 20th Engineer Battalion (Lumberjacks) provides Engineering Services to US ARMY at Fort Hood, Texas. and WW1 highlights
