Horses in the First World War – very few were Cavalry mounts

Andy Robertshaw visited COBWFA on Oct. 22, 2023 to talk about the true role of horses in the Great War and notes that only two per cent of the animals on the front were intended as Cavalry mounts. The vast majority were transport animals.
